Hello, June! We love you...

...Not just for your long summer evenings and glorious sunshine, but for your month-long celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride. This is the month where the world acknowledges the progress made for LGBTQ+ rights – and also how far there is still left to go.

We believe that love is deeply personal and that every couple has a different journey to navigate and story to tell and we love nothing more than to be able to enable you, our customers, to create a meaningful and deeply sentimental engagement ring or wedding ring to represent these things.

We have worked with some very special couples in the last decade, to create some unique engagement rings, truly stunning eco-conscious wedding rings and conflict free, sustainable handmade rings for any occasion.

Some of these amazing customers and their custom made rings have been featured in blog posts and snippets you may have already seen on our Instagram and Facebook pages using #SentimentalSundayAtEWR. If not, then you must! Their stories are so feel-good and romantic, it's just wonderful.

Designing your own wedding ring, with the well-being of the world in mind is wonderful way to say something special to the one you love, or indeed yourself! Proposing with an awesome, custom made ring really is a way to take someone's breath away.

If you’ve already got an idea for a ring design or are feeling inspired to explore possibilities further, we’d love to hear from you. You can use our ring enquiry form  to get in touch and share what you have in mind or drop us a line here. If you need a little more inspiration, why not take a look at our bespoke rings gallery

If you're not sure of sizes, we have that covered too! When you order a ring from our main collection or our in stock range, you can select that you'd like to receive one of our home ring sizing kits to use to confirm your size before your order is finalised and sent to the workshop.

Using materials from special places or even treasured possessions is a hugely original way to encapsulate your love story and we love to share them with you as we know just how inspiring they can be. Below are links to some of our most magical and empowering LGBTQ+ stories and we know you'll love them.

Given several centuries of discrimination, it’s probably not surprising that many LGBTQ+ couples shy away from a more traditional wedding – and it’s still not possible for same-sex couples to marry in an Anglican church. But that’s all the more reason to break from tradition and create a wedding day that’s unique and meaningful to you.

Now you've had an opportunity to read some of our inspiring stories, it's time to get creative – from what you wear, to how you make your big entrance... For example will you be walked down the aisle by friends, family, each other – or just ditch the aisle altogether? Anything goes!
At Eco Wood Rings, we love it when couples come to us with requests to create alternative wedding bands that tell their story. We’ve inlaid sand from the beach where a proposal took place, the wood from a favourite skateboard, even fragments of vinyl from a couple’s first dance. It’s the idea of taking a millennia-old tradition and making it something perfectly personal that’s just so lovely and fills our hearts to bursting point. In the end, it all comes down to being free to be who you are, to love and express your love your way, and choosing or creating a bespoke, personalised and truly personal design for a wedding, engagement and any other occasion ring is absolutely the most meaningful way to do it.

In the meantime, we finish how we started, with a wish for June: May all love come to be honoured and celebrated everywhere.

Happy Pride Month!  🌈
