Two Lands, One Lasting Love

Where Two Worlds Meet

Some rings tell a love story. Others tell the story of where two lives began.

For this beautifully personal engagement ring, every material was chosen to honour the places, people and memories that shaped the couple's journey.

The inspiration first came from a familiar face. Having watched his cousin Charlotte be involved in the designing of meaningful rings at Eco Wood Rings, Tom had long admired the unique designs and the stories behind them.

It sparked the idea that an engagement ring could be so much more than a beautiful piece of jewellery. It could become a collection of treasured memories.

Bringing home wherever life leads

Lali grew up in Venezuela, surrounded by the stunning Caribbean coastline. With so many cherished memories of the beach, it felt only right that her favourite places would become part of the ring she would wear every day.

Wanting to keep the proposal a complete surprise, Lali's mum secretly collected sand from two of Lali's favourite Venezuelan beaches and brought it to the UK, all without revealing why.

The idea soon became even more meaningful.

Alongside the Venezuelan sand, sand from two beaches on the Isle of Man, places that hold special memories for him, was carefully added to the design. Together, the four beaches became one inlay, representing two different homes, two families and two lives coming together.

It is a simple yet powerful reminder that wherever life takes them, Lali will always carry a little piece of Venezuela with her, while together they carry a little of both their worlds.

A family legacy

The story doesn't end there.

The diamonds set within the ring once belonged to Tom's grandmother's engagement ring, adding another deeply personal layer to the design. A treasured family heirloom has now become part of the next chapter, carrying love and history from one generation to the next.

The perfect place to ask

When the ring was finally complete, there was only one place that felt right for the proposal.

High above the breathtaking Canaima National Park in Venezuela, he asked Lali to marry him beside the river at the top of Angel Falls, just before the water plunges over the edge of the world's tallest waterfall.

Surrounded by one of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth, a new chapter of their story began.

We are incredibly honoured to have helped create such a meaningful ring, one that brings together treasured places, family history and the promise of a lifetime together.

Thank you for trusting Eco Wood Rings with your story. We wish you both every happiness as you begin this wonderful new adventure together.
